Tel Aviv University is a public university that was established in 1956 in the northern suburb of Tel Aviv Israel called Ramat Aviv. The student population varies and is estimated in the 30,000’s.

Located in Tel Aviv which is Israel’s financial, cultural and industrial center the University of Tel Aviv is the country’s largest. It features nine faculties, 106 departments and 90 research institutes. It was created out of three research institutes, the Tel Aviv School of Law and Economics, the Institute of natural Sciences and the Institute of Jewish Studies. They joined together to form what is today the University. It is established in the Ramat Aviv Campus since 1963.
This university maintains remote academic supervision over the Center for Technological Design in Holon, the New Academic college of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and the Afeka College of Engineering. They also supervise the Wise Observatory in Mitzpe Ramon.

Great World Ranking
This University was ranked in 2016 as the 81st in the world, making it the second highest ranking university in Israel.
The Business Administration school grants undergraduate degrees for Management and Accounting and graduate degrees. The school has numerous programs for graduate degrees integrated with other business schools worldwide, such as the Executive MBA program with the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. Since 2003, Recanati School has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Relations with other universities
The University of Tel Aviv offers special programs of Jewish studies to teachers and students from the United States, France, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. The programs are in English.
The Law Faculty currently has exchange programs from thirteen overseas universities like Michigan, Northwestern, Penn, Virginia, Cornell, Boston University, Temple, Cardozo, Toronto, Bucerius in Hamburg, Monash in Melbourne, Milan, and Seoul National University.
School for Overseas Students
The School for Overseas Students gives young people from different countries the opportunity to study at Tel Aviv University. The program is in English and also offers the opportunity to live and study in kibbutzim. The university offers about 20 courses a year in English, recruiting many top lecturers from overseas to teach.
Coming to study at Tel Aviv University gives the student the better of two worlds besides a great education recognized worldwide.
