Tel Aviv Promenade, simply known as the Tayelet, runs along the Mediterranean seashore in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. It was started in the 1930s extending from Bograshov Street to what used be called Geula Beach, now Jerusalem Beach, to divide the bathing area from the hiking one.

In 1942, London Square was founded in the northern part of the promenade. In 1953, Gan-Haatzmaut (Independence Garden) was founded on the gravel hill above Hilton Beach. In 1965, at the time of the opening of the port of Ashdod, the ports of Tel Aviv and Jaffa were closed.
In the 1980s started the cleaning and opening of the beaches to public bathing. During that time the breakwaters were built, causing significant expansion of the beaches thus allowing a greater number of people to visit. Beach facilities were restored and reopened.
