TripAdvisor includes Yad Vashem in top 25 museums
Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memoria Center and Museum located in Jerusalem, has made the important list of the 25 Best Museums of the World award ranking by TripAdvisor.
One of the contributors wrote about Yad Vashem: “Educational and moving. Well worth your time. This memorial-museum is extremely well laid-out. I have been to similar museums elsewhere, but Yad Vashem stood out to me because of the many personal stories that are incorporated into the experience. The actual museum takes 1-2 hours to walk through at a pace that allows you to absorb the materials. There is an audio guide available, but the English text descriptions were thorough.”

Ruins of Tel Megiddo known by the Biblical name Armageddon
Megiddo Prison to become a popular Holy Land Tourist Attraction
The soon to be vacated Megiddo Prison is going to be transformed into a tourist complex combining tourism, archaeology, and nature hikes, according to a Reuters report. Targeting Christian evangelicals in particular, Israel hopes to draw 300,000 visitors annually, nearly double the current figure.
Tel Megiddo, known in Biblical terms as Armageddon, will draw busloads of Holy Land visitors to this site.
Just south of Nazareth, Armageddon is a popular site for the busloads of tourists visiting the sites of the Holy Land. There is also an extensive program of excavations.
Works have uncovered the remains of a 3rd century Christian prayer hall, including a mosaic referring to “God Jesus Christ”. Archaeologists assumed the site would never be fully excavated since it sat within the prison walls.
