Israel Tours are very common for Rabbis to bring with them some of their congregants on Israel Tours. These tours can be arranged as per the request of the Rabbi and his assistants. Here I am presenting a sample tour that covers all of Israel from north to south. It can be changed in any way required. In this itinerary we plan an arrival on Friday to start the tour with a visit to the Western Wall Jerusalem.

Friday - Day 1 - Arrival to Israel

Arrival to Ben Gurion Airport. You will be assisted and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. In the early evening, transfer to the Kotel or Western Wall for Kabalat Shabbat Services. Return walking to the hotel for Shabbat Dinner.

Saturday – Day 2 – Jerusalem Old City

Visit the Old City of Jerusalem on a walking guided tour. Proceed to the restored Jewish Quarter and walk along the Cardo, the colonnaded main street of Byzantine Jerusalem. Visit the Herodian Mansions, a residential quarter from 2000 years ago, or, walk through the extraordinary Hasmonean Tunnel. Follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and walk through the exotic bazaars. Return to hotel for Shabbat Lunch. The afternoon is at leisure.

Sunday – Day 3 – Full day in Jerusalem

We will visit the Grand Synagogue and admire the extraordinary windows and the collection of Mezuzah, the Israeli Supreme Court, the Knesset or Israeli Parliament and the famous Menorah, area of the Government Ministries, the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, the Rose garden and Yad Vashem Museum.

Monday – Day 4 – Jerusalem – Dead Sea

We will depart from Jerusalem through the Judean Desert to the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea. Visit Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews against the Romans. Enjoy the Dead Sea where you will swim and never drown.

Tuesday – Day 5 – Dead Sea – Galilee

Enjoy an early swim at the Dead Sea and depart for the North, via the Jordan Valley and arrive to Beth Shean and the most impressive ruins of the Roma Empire discovered in Israel. Arrival in Tiberias on the shores of Lake Kinereth or Sea of Galilee and continue to Capernaum and to our Kibbutz Hotel

Wednesday – Day 6 – Galilee – Golan Heights

Visit the Good Fence at Metula, Tel Hai and the tomb of Trumpeldor, the crusade fortress of Nimrod, the Golan Height and return to the Kibbutz Hotel. In the afternoon have fun rafting in the Jordan River.

Thursday – Day 7 – Galilee – Haifa

Departure for Tzfat or Safed the cradle of the Kabala, visit the Jewish quarter and the picturesque art galleries. Continue to Rosh Hanikra at the very border with Lebanon and Akko or Acre, the old crusader’s city with its subterranean passages. Transfer to your hotel in Haifa

Friday – Day 8 – Haifa – Tel Aviv

Visit the Bahai Persian Gardens on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Bet Shearim, and Megiddo and via Caesarea continue to Tel Aviv for Shabbat dinner.

Saturday – Day 9 – Tel Aviv

This is a free day in Tel Aviv to spend the Shabbat on your own.

Sunday – Day 10 – Tel Aviv – Eilat

Panoramic visit of Tel Aviv Yaffo and going south we are on the way to the Negev Desert and reach the capital city of the Negev, Beer Sheva. Visit the most important crater in Israel the Makhtesh Ramon or Ramon Crater. Then continue via the Arava road to Eilat for overnight.

Monday – Day 11 and Tuesday Day 12 – Eilat

We have allotted a couple of days in Eilat for free activities. You may want to do what most of the tourists do in Eilat, sunbath and swim or just relax and enjoy the cool waters of Eilat while you see Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Israel at once. Or you may want to experience many of the activities that Eilat provides.

There is a possibility to take a tour to the neighboring country of Jordan and visit the ancient Nabataean city of Petra.

Tuesday – Day 13 – Departure according to your flying plans.
